All antiques are packed to exacting standards, using proven techniques and packing materials, all managed by our experienced technicians. Fragile items, and all items shipped by air freight, are packed into robust custom built timber crates, ensuring your valuable antiques arrive in the same condition they were shipped.

As an extra service, when your shipment arrives, we can unwrap the shipment and remove all packing materials leaving you to enjoy your antiques immediately from the day they are delivered.

Antique Buyers
Please let us know in advance when you will be in the UK for fairs, shops and shows. This will allow us to make arrangements for collections / deliveries, ensuring a hassle free shipping experience. We will supply you with sticky labels, tags and a shipping form.
When shopping, please do the following:
- place sticker on item and / or
- put sticker on tag, and tie / place tag on item (do not put any stickers directly on polished surfaces)
- fill out shipping form provided, in block capitals
- identify location (fair / stand or shop / address and phone)
- turn in your completed forms at fair / show, post or fax.
Buyers Pack
For trade buyers, we can deliver our Buying Pack to you before you travel or deliver direct to your accommodation ahead of your arrival in the UK. The pack is an ideal way to take away the complications of buying from different dealers and locations.
Simply use the pad to record your purchases, giving each item its own identification number. Write this number on the pre-printed labels, and attach it to the item. The purchase order pad is self carbonating, allowing you to leave one copy with the dealer, keep one for your records and the original copy should be sent to The British Shop at the end of your trip, so we can plan your collections.
Buyers Account Facility
Cut down on your bank charges and administration by using the convenience of our Buyers Account facility. At the end of your trip, simply transfer funds to us to cover the total cost of your expenditure, and we will then draw up a cheque and deliver it by hand to the retailer or dealer when we make the collection. We then send you a fully itemised statement detailing every transaction.
